Aston Science Park, Birmingham for Birmingham Technology Ltd
Breaking new ground as Britain's first Inner City Science Park, Aston Science Park achieved immediate commercial success consisting of a family of phases designed for a very specific purpose. Weedon Partnership llp initially began the site analysis and masterplanning on behalf of Birmingham Technology Ltd.
Skilful masterplanning enabled the inclusion of the Digbeth Branch Canal to become an integral part of the landscape and buildings were located to take full advantage of this watercourse.
Units were planned to be let as multiples, or as subdivided tenancies and the architecture specifically intended to reflect the nature of the activity or product, whilst integrating the buildings into the campus environment of Aston Triangle.
