About UsThe Weedon name has been synonymous with architecture since 1912. The late Harry Weedon started the practice and following a rapid expansion, throughout the 1920's and 30's with a variety of commissions, in the fields of Housing, Commercial and Industrial Development, the growth of the practice was quickly guaranteed. A factory in Birmingham for Deutsch and Brenner was historically the most important of these commissions as it led to the design of one of the first cinemas for entrepreneur Oscar Deutsch. This project was the beginning for the well known Odeon house style "Oscar Deutsch Entertains Our Nation". Throughout the 1920's and 30's Weedons were involved in the design and construction of over 300 Odeon Cinemas. Through associations made with famous engineering firms during these early years, the Partnership later received many commissions from a host of companies working either directly or indirectly for the motor industry. Continued success was established and this has been maintained to the present day. In May 2009 the practice became a limited liability partnership and today Weedon Partnership llp is a successful award winning architectural practice that has maintained continuous organic growth throughout the 20th Century into the 21st. Employing staff that continue a tradition of contemporary architecture specific to both client and context, Weedon Partnership llp deliver buildings and services tailored exclusively to individual client needs. Our diversity of clients has enabled us to gain experience on a variety of construction projects in both public and private sector, including commercial, residential, industrial, education, leisure, retail and defence providing us with the knowledge to bring quality design, technical expertise and value appreciation to any project. |
